Review:

So, I’ve just recently watched this miniseries which was shown on ITV and I must say it was good viewing!

Luke Evans puts in a good performance as the main detective trying to solve the murders and bring some respect back to the police force. We must remember that this is based on true life events and John Cooper (played by Keith Allen) was very much a true life serial killer.

I didn’t really know much about the Pembrokeshire murders (also called The Coastal Path Murders) but the name John Cooper did ring a bell, so I was looking forward to seeing what he had done and how the police solved the case many years later.

For me, there was enough balance in the show to make it good viewing, there isn’t much empathy with his many victims and we don’t really get to much detail about the victims, this is more about John Cooper and how the police are limited by time and money to get the forensics they need to solve the case and give justice to the victims & their families.

There isn’t anything new in this miniseries that will stand our from the many other true-life miniseries (apart from Des) BUT this is still a good watch with a good cast and has been well received with an 83% rating!

Renewed

The Pembrokeshire Murders is a three part miniseries, which means it will not be renewed for another series.
